Immigration is a hot topic these days and requires careful consideration.

For example, the recent Executive Order on DACA (Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals) offers opportunities to young people in this country, but it also poses some perils.  For example, DACA does not provide any status, but merely a two year deferment on deportation.  The attractive part of DACA is that it may be possible to get an employment authorization card, which will enable one to get a social security number, a good job and qualify for a driver’s license.  There are age requirements, you must be able to prove you were in the US for a period of five years, and other requirements to qualify under this program.

If you or a member of your family is considering filing under DACA, we invite you to come in for a consultation to determine if DACA is the right course of action.

We can also assist in getting spousal green cards, investment visas and other types of visas.

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) has proposed sweeping reform of the immigration laws, and there is a reasonable chance that his proposals will be enacted, if politics do not get in the way.  We are monitoring this legislation.
